1. The comment may argue against the inclusion of a specific
premise in the argument.
2. It may show why a missing premise should have been
included.
3. It may dispute the truth of a given premise.
Comments like “you did a good job” are not helpful. If you
appreciate what someone did, honor them through thoughtful feedback.
Format:
Not more than 100 words (a half-page double-spaced).
Parenthetical citations to the reading, when possible.
Due dates:
Each student must write six comments. At least one comment
is due during each period. Students may write more than one comment during each
period. However, additional comments will not count for the total due. They
may, however, be considered in the tabulation of the final grade.
