Autonomy


Conclusion: The absolute good will is autonomous.

EP1:  The will determines action in accord with the representation of certain laws. 

IP1: A good will is good in itself. 

IP2:  A universally applicable law must apply the same to every rational being

EP2: An action is moral only if you can will that it become a universal law. 

IP3:  Any action done for reasons other than the good within the act itself is not morally good. 

EP3: The will in its supreme condition of its harmony with universal reason, is a will giving universal law. 

IP4:  The nature of universal reason is rational. 

EP4:  Rational nature exists as an end to itself. 

IP­5: Human beings distinguished by their humanity, which is their ability to act rationally. 

EP5:  Every rational being exists as an end itself, not just as a means. 

EP6:  Human beings should not be treated as just means, but also as an end to itself. 

EP7:  Dignity of a rational human only obeys laws it gives itself.

EP8: The will is not solely subject to the law, but it is in such a way it legislates to itself.
